Students with a home language other than English will be assessed for proficiency in oral language, reading comprehension and written communication. Based on the results of this assessment, students may be enrolled in Desert Hills' English Language Development Program, designed to help them effectively and efficiently gain command of the English language. At Desert Hills High School, we are committed to assisting students in acquiring the English language skills needed to complete secondary school coursework and transition successfully into a post-secondary program of study.
